Sensoryx at AWE 2024 in California

Sensoryx at AWE 2024: A Remarkable Presence in South California

For the first time, AWE (Augmented World Expo) made its grand debut in South California, moving from its long-time home in Silicon Valley to Long Beach. The change in location brought a refreshing atmosphere to the event, with an even sharper focus on innovation and immersive technologies. Attendees were treated to a series of inspiring keynotes, including the much-anticipated return of Palmer Luckey, which set the tone for an event full of excitement and groundbreaking advancements.

Sensoryx: Making Waves with Our Unique Booth

As a proud sponsor and exhibitor of AWE, sensoryx showcased its latest innovations in style. Our booth became a highlight, not just for the cutting-edge technology we presented but also for its striking design. Decorated with lush, real vegetation, the booth created an inviting and engaging environment that drew a steady stream of visitors.

The centerpiece of our exhibit was the DK1 of the MALIANG Magic Pencil. We presented this in both mixed reality on the Oculus Quest 3 and in Simulated Reality using Leia and Acer displays. The reception was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees expressing great interest in and enthusiasm for our technology. Despite some initial apprehensions regarding the simultaneous release of Logitech’s MX Ink Stylus, the response we received turned out to be quite the opposite. The presence of Logitech not only validated the segment but also allowed us to highlight the strengths of our design. Many visitors shared their preference for our product, which was incredibly rewarding.

Introducing SpatialTag: A New Chapter in Motion Tracking

AWE 2024 also provided the perfect platform for a very first reveal of our latest innovation—the SpatialTag. This contemporary water drop-shaped device, similar in size to Apple’s AirTag, represents a new chapter in motion tracking and the augmentation of objects. Designed to blend seamlessly into various environments, the SpatialTag opens up exciting possibilities for both personal and professional use. Attendees were thrilled to receive mock-ups of this exceptional new form factor, giving them an exclusive first look at what promises to be a game-changer in the industry.

Highlights from AWE 2024

Over the course of the three-day event, sensoryx achieved significant milestones. Our demos played a crucial role in ensuring that our message was heard loud and clear, even with the competition close by. We took the opportunity to test Logitech’s pen at META’s booth and observed that while it boasts solid software integration, it falls short in areas such as precision, thickness, and compatibility.

The event also provided valuable networking opportunities with key industry players. We had productive meetings with several companies, strengthening our partnerships and exploring new avenues for collaboration. Notable among these were: Leia, Sony, Skyworth and Qualcomm.

Looking Forward

AWE 2024 in Long Beach was a resounding success for sensoryx. The move to Southern California brought a renewed energy to the event, and our participation underscored our commitment to pushing the boundaries of immersive technology. The positive feedback we received, along with the validation from industry giants like Logitech, further solidifies our position in the market.

A Special Thanks to Our Supporters

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Innosuisse and Swiss Global Enterprise (SGE) for their unwavering support. Their contributions have been instrumental in our journey, and we are proud to represent Swiss innovation on the global stage.
