Our third China Tour, part of sensoryx’s commitment to strengthening its foothold in Asia, has been a resounding success, affirming our position as pioneers in XR technology. Building on our previous tours (Asia Trip and Innosuisse China Camp), the 2024 edition provided unique opportunities for sensoryx to engage with China’s XR ecosystem, making invaluable connections across the nation.
China: A Key Market in the Global XR Landscape
With a projected market size of $70 billion by 2025, China is not only a major consumer but also a leading innovator in VR/AR. Over 80% of the world’s VR and AR headsets are manufactured or consumed within the region, making China an essential player in immersive technologies. Sensoryx’s MALIANG Magic Pencil and our suite of spatial tools align seamlessly with China’s focus on XR applications in education, industrial training, and professional development, solidifying the importance of this market for our growth strategy.
Warm Reception and New Alliances Across Five Cities
Hosted by the Swiss-Sino Innovation Center, sensoryx’s tour included stops in Tianjin, Shanghai, Nanjing, Nantong, and Wuxi. Each destination provided opportunities to meet with key stakeholders, highlight our innovations, and explore collaborations in China’s dynamic tech landscape.
Tianjin: The journey began with a warm welcome in Tianjin, where local decision-makers engaged enthusiastically with our project. During the “Road Show” presentations, sensoryx demonstrated the transformative capabilities of our tools, receiving positive feedback from municipal leaders and industry representatives alike.
Shanghai (Qingpu): At the first stop in Shanghai’s Qingpu District, we explored Oasis Smart Valley, a center of innovation that emphasizes technological growth through cross-company collaboration. Insight Tech, a local tech leader, facilitated discussions on integrating sensoryx’s solutions into broader industrial applications, opening doors for future partnerships in the field.
Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta National Technology Innovation Center): Our second Shanghai stop brought us to the Yangtze River Delta, where Swissnex China, in collaboration with local officials, facilitated further engagement with leaders focused on educational technology and immersive learning solutions. This visit highlighted sensoryx’s compatibility with China’s academic and professional sectors, creating possibilities for impactful projects in both fields.
Nanjing and Nantong: Moving on to Nanjing, we visited the Jiangbei New District, a hub for research and technological innovation, and engaged in a second round of Road Show presentations. Here, sensoryx demonstrated its potential for educational and institutional applications, generating interest in our tools’ unique value for academic environments. In Nantong, we participated in the Tongzhou Bay-Switzerland Innovation Cooperation Conference, gaining insights into high-tech industries and initiating discussions with potential local partners.
Wuxi: The tour culminated in Wuxi, where Swissnex China once again provided critical support, fostering productive discussions with representatives from industrial parks and educational centers. The collaboration highlighted sensoryx’s potential to support China’s goals in immersive industrial training and education.

Building on these opportunities, sensoryx is exploring the establishment of a dedicated subsidiary, which would allow us to deepen our engagement across the academic, industrial, and governmental sectors.
